Our FREE Wednesday night teen program starts up again this week! Teen Takeover (formerly called Teen Art Night) will happen EVERY Wednesday night at SHAMc from 5 to 7pm. Ages 13 to 17 will have access to our entire studio of art supplies so they can make to their heart’s content. Best of all, artist Mena Kiernan will be on hand to instruct as needed and Patti Samuels will be there (with food, if we were to guess!). Snacks provided. No registration necessary. Tell your friends, tell your kids. Tell your friend’s kids. Join us!!!

We at SHAMc are heartbroken to learn of Dolly Parton's passing. Like so many others, we've long admired not only her extraordinary talent, but also her kindness, humility, and unwavering commitment to lifting others up. As an organization dedicated to music, emerging artists, and community, we see Dolly as the very embodiment of the values we strive to uphold every day. Though the Rhinestone Queen may be gone, her light, generosity, and spirit will continue to inspire generations to come.

Send us your Ellie photos! We’re posting them to the Save Ellie Fundraiser page on our website- We’re now at 10% of our goal! Once the goal is met, we’ll be able to hire local sculptor Kumpa to fiberglass Ellie and make her last for years to come. Ellie is currently made out of styrofoam and it's starting to show!

Did you know that there are “Art Environments” all over the world? One of our favorites is Ricky Boscarino’s Luna Parc in New Jersey. Here’s an interview CBS News did about his home. Ricky is a good friend to SHAMc/WhimZeyLand and even did a few installations at our art center! He’s an inspiration to us!
