U-Nite is a collaboration between Sacramento State and the Crocker Art Museum.

“U-Nite” stands for “University Night,” and will be a blowout celebration of the arts, featuring original art from more than 40 full-time faculty members from the College of Arts and Letters. This event, a Sacramento State faculty arts showcase, will include live dance, music, and theater performances, photography, des

ign, art, and film presentations, and poetry and prose readings. U-Nite will unite two of Sacramento’s leading arts and educational institutions in a celebration and showcase of Sacramento arts talent. The event is designed to generate pride in both Sac State and the Sacramento region. Created by Sac State faculty member, Elaine Gale, the U-Nite evening will fill the Crocker with lively, unforgettable events, and provide a look at the arts that provokes ideas, creativity, dialogue and unity. U-Nite will also serve as the kickoff event for Sacramento State’s annual Festival of the Arts, to be held April 12-17. at the Crocker Art Museum on Thursday, April 11th. The event will be free to students, staff and faculty with a valid Sacramento State ID. Feel free to take your classes there that evening or create an extra credit assignment that relates to attendance at the U-Nite event.
