MASTER BOOT RECORD is here tonight and honestly there’s not really another band that does what they do. We’ve been looking forward to this one for a while. MBR has built a whole universe around retro computer culture, demoscene art, and video game soundtracks, but underneath is a locked-in live band that absolutely rips.

It starts in the world of heavy metal, but then there are old computers onstage, chiptune melodies, impossible guitar parts, and visuals from a lost cyberpunk arcade game. If you grew up loving old consoles, staying up too late on the internet, extreme music, sci-fi movies, or anything a little strange and obsessive, you’ll probably leave tonight very happy.
