As I stepped into the center of the room at “The Silver Lining,” hosted once upon a time at Luna’s Café, I find a seamless fusion of history and renewal. William, the owner, emerges as a resilient architect, willing the space open through a maze of renovations and permits. The echoes of Luna’s linger in every note, and as I host beneath the neon glow, I become a storyteller weaving threads of the past into the vibrant fabric of this new venue, where authenticity and determination converge.

Last night felt fresh, with familiar company. It was an honor to host the first poetry and music open mic at the and I really enjoyed the vulnerability of William sharing his music in his poetry with us. It felt authentic and I really enjoyed recharging my batteries on the mic. I’m looking forward to reading new poetry on the Hitman’s night.

The end of 2023 was really intense, driving me underground for the last 3 months to navigate an injury, contract negotiations, layoffs, OCD and my ability to be social. Lots of life changes at once…Please stay tuned for a huge announcement once the dust settles and the inks done drying from the Davison family.
