OOIOO was founded by YoshimiO in 1995. The members came together as musicians who move freely between the audible and inaudible, rhythm and non-rhythm, noise and silence. The music they create is a collection of the moments and essence of their favorite sounds that they captured, as they come into being until they disappear into the ether. Just as each cell in the body consists of a microcosm of its own, the vibrations of each of the members resonate together to create a new life form.

A last milking of nostalgia-

In spring of 2015 at a group art show at outlet coworking, said, this is cool, we could probably do this. Rent a warehouse to Do Stuff in. .most said she had looked at spaces recently, as she was starting her art consulting business. Later in the year her and checked out this warehouse, the one that would become our DIY ward. Jen summoned the group of us, 9 in total to the space one night and we sat in a circle and talked about what we would want to do, creatively, and each made a one year commitment. named the space The Red Museum, after an X-Files episode about a vegan cult that lives in a white barn much like our ware-church. Jocelyn pointed out that it would be a great place for shows. This clicked into place when joined the fold.

A lot has changed over the years but also, not so much. We have had members come and go and the space has a bit of all of them in it. The Red Museum is its own entity and we are its stewards. This space is an ongoing exercise in applying energy to an idea, to saying F**k It and seeing what happens.

Please enjoy this memory lane of the early moments. The first photos are of the night we made the collective, the subsequent tilling of the shell, and some early show moments. Most of the time we are place for bands to be loud and whittle their sound. But the events we have had are trophies of memory over this decade. Thanks for 10 years Sac 🤙
