Excited to share! 1) I completely amazed myself with this painting of tomatoes from a still life class I’m taking. Was so intimidated at the start and was just blown away by what I was able to do. Behold! I have painted tomatoes! 2) I was able to frame up the first large-ish (6x6 inches, most of my work has been in the 2.5x3.5 range) piece that I like enough to donate to a silent auction. This is called “My Path to Success” and is inspired by the walking paths all around Pacific Grove/Monterey Bay, CA. It will be donated to support the “My Path to Success” Toastmasters Conference in Northern CA.
Starting to feel like I am getting a handle on these soft pastels. Still so much to learn (framing soft pastels is a whole thing!) but enjoying the journey so far. 😍
