**If you are going to use the hashtag to make a post today, please do not tag Black Lives Matter, as it censors people from using the hashtag to access vital information and messaging about what is taking place on the ground right now.

Today, the entertainment industry takes a visible stand to promote accountability and change. The loss of life cannot be brought back. We can't change history. We can educate ourselves, care deeply about each other, and take useful, actionable steps toward healing our society by amplifying black voices and prioritizing work toward ensuring the overall health, safety and prosperity of black people in our broken country. This is it.

Are you a white person who just woke up to this situation, and are unsure how to balance your feelings appropriately, while figuring out how to educate yourself and be a strong ally in this revolution? May be uncomfortable to unpack, but that doesn't matter. It may be uncomfortable to be the one to speak up in your family, friends group, community...but it doesn't matter. BLACK LIVES MATTER. And hey guess what? FACT: We were raised in a racist society, which means we all carry that inherent racism in us, and it is 100% our responsibility RIGHT NOW, to begin working through that. Looking for someone to talk to about this? Let it be other white people in your life that you turn to to talk through your process of understanding right now - the black people in your life don't owe you that emotional labor, and do not have any responsibility to pick up that burden. We welcome you to reach out to if you are looking for a white lady actively learning that will create a container for you to work though YOUR work in this effort.
