Sam Sangermano’s riso prints carry the feeling of flipping through a box of old photographs. A television on a refrigerator, a pigeon on a balcony, rural streetscapes, and intimate moments shared with loved ones all contribute to a body of work that feels both deeply personal and universally familiar. Unlike the vibrant colors often associated with risograph printing, these works embrace a monochromatic approach, lending them a nostalgic quality that lingers long after viewing.

The ‘Cosmo Cathedral’ series may be the clearest expression of ‘Retronym’s’ central idea.

Originally started in 2011 and revisited in 2026, these six works bridge a fifteen-year span of José Di Gregorio’s artistic practice. In returning to them, José resurrected a drip process that played a significant role in his earlier work, allowing past and present approaches to coexist within the same compositions.

Neither entirely old nor entirely new, the Cosmo Cathedral series reflects the ongoing nature of creative practice—where ideas are revisited, reinterpreted, and given new life years after they first emerge.

💀📚It’s that time of year again! The ninth annual Zine Megamall presented by will take place in two weeks on Saturday, June 13th from Noon - 6pm here at the gallery.

Come one come all, come ready to flip through some pages. 📚 This year’s lineup is a stellar one and includes several of the exhibitors in our current group show, ‘Between Worlds.’

Even more exciting is just about everyone tabling will have new material they are releasing to the public THAT day!

🗞️ Last November, Claire Evans [ ] presented ‘Sacrifice Zone’, a solo exhibition at Art Space Gallery at Fresno City College, where she sourced a vintage Fresno Bee newsstand to house the project’s accompanying zines.

For ‘Between Worlds’, curated by NIGHTED [ ], we’re fortunate to have that same newsstand installed within the exhibition in its own space here at the gallery. If you stop in to see the show, be sure to open the handle and grab a copy for yourself. ✨

We’re back to our regular hours tomorrow, 5/28. See ya’ soon. ✌️
