We are a collaborative community theatre organization whose mission is to employ our collaborative group of artists to create passion fueled, exciting theatre that is a dramatic experience for both the people working on it and for the people who come to see it. That means that we employ the talent and passion of a large group of community artists to stage excellent theatrical productions for both

adults and children. We also mean to pass on these skills and passion to ongoing groups of beginners.

Last up is the hurricane herself! Meet Diane (played by BIT regular, Ashley Rose). The Incarnation of Dionysus, the Greek god. A butch charm factory, combination of swagger and stillness. Powerful, wry, charming, confident, smooth and immortal.

See if Diane can fix the mess we've made of this earth as she returns to the mortal plane tonight at 7:30. Tickets available now at bigideatheatre.org.

You won't want to miss this one!

Meet Carol (played by season BIT veteran, Stephanie Hodson). Carol knows what she wants and knows she deserves it. She’s built a nice life but dreams of a better one. Slightly cold, in control, logical, with a surprising hidden strength.

Will Carol ever get her dream wrought iron accent bench? Find out tomorrow night at 7:30pm at Hurricane Diane. Tickets available at bigideatheatre.org

Next up is Renee (played by Shaqquarius Calloway in her BIT debut)! Professionally successful, the only woman of color on the masthead of an interior design magazine. More open and forward thinking than the rest of the group, but also competitive. Sharp, smart, passionate, fair, reliable. Proudly dated a woman after college (and will let you know), but now married to a man.

Come see her weather a new kind of hurricane when Hurricane Diane returns this weekend. Tickets available now at bigideatheatre.org.

Next on the Cul-de-sac, meet Pam (played by Lindsay Jones, most recently seen in Dance Nation at BIT)! Pam is who you want when disaster strikes. She’s got emergency radios and food rations in the basement, she’s prepared. Loud, passionate, always looks put together, great laugh, protective, ready for a good time.

Find out if she can handle a new kind of hurricane when Hurricane Diane returns this weekend for a Friday night show (7:30) and a double feature Saturday (2:00 and 7:30). Get your tickets now at bigideatheatre.org

*For general auditions, actors will be asked to perform either a monologue from the show from a provided list, or one of their choosing no longer than 2 minutes. Need not be memorized. Callbacks will consist of readings from the script. Time slots and sides will be sent beginning a week before auditions*

An internet chat room connects a family looking to ‘re-home’ their young Korean son to a le***an couple--where one half is desperate for a child and the other half is fighting for their career. The boy’s original adoptive father is all set to hand him over until he realizes the boy would have no “dad.”
Caught in the middle of this off-the-record adoption gone sideways, the child launches himself into a lone wolf’s journey to finding a pack he can call his own.
Award-winning South Korean playwright Hansol Jung’s Wolf Play is a messy, funny, and moving theatrical experience that features puppetry, a wolf, and prickly questions about what family and belonging mean.

*For all roles, we will be considering actors of any ethnicity unless otherwise noted*

- Ash, assigned female at birth non-binary, late 20s-30s: Southpaw boxer

- Robin, female-presenting, 30s: Ash’s wife

- Ryan, male-presenting, 30s: Robin’s brother

- Peter, male-presenting, 30s: A father

- Wolf, East Asian, any gender, any age: A mix of the familiar with the terribly unexpected *Character operates puppet throughout
