Something new has been rolling around over here…
Meet THE MOTION YARD.
A collection of ramps, gutters, tubes, crates, balls, cars and all sorts of odds and ends with one simple invitation.
Build it. Test it. Change it. Repeat.
I got to get a trial run in with the Elk Grove Mom Walk group yesterday and watching the kids take over was the BEST part!
They built. They tested. Things didn’t always work out. They moved pieces, tried something different, worked together, started over—and kept going.
No finished example to copy. No one showing them what to build. Just materials, movement and a whole lot of “Wait… what if we put this HERE?”
A HUGE thank you to Van-Go Wagon Co. | Mobile Art + Play with a Vintage VW Van for the incredible inspiration behind this idea. 💕 I saw what they created and knew I wanted to bring this kind of large-scale, open-ended building experience to my community. They have been so helpful in sharing supply lists and details on how to make it work.
And now The Motion Yard is officially joining the Lovin’ the Process lineup!
You’ll be able to find it at Kids Fest Enchanted Cosmos Indoor Playground on Sunday, September 6th. And The Motion Yard is also available to bring to festivals, schools, community events and other gatherings.
I have a feeling this one is going to be a favorite!
