Resurrection Theatre Producing theatre for our community, promoting theatre everywhere. Come share our stage. Like any theatre company, it started with a desire to tell a story.

In 2009
local actor Eric Baldwin shared his desire to produce and present Atwater:
Fixin’ to Die. With the help of California Stage and a few friends, that desire
was met...and Resurrection Theatre Company was born. As the years have passed, a vast bastion of local talent has come into this
company, leaving their marks with their performances, lighting, designs,
direction, and devotion to the shar

ed human experience of theatre. The
love and energy of these people allowed us to present such wonderful
works as Burn This, Macbeth:Resurrected, An Adult Evening of Shel
Silverstein, In a Dark, Dark House, The Sleeper, Doubt: A Parable, Romeo
& Juliet and Talking With...

And we still have stories to tell. We hope you’ll join us this season. In addition to bringing wonderful
stories to our stages, Resurrection Theatre Company is committed helping
the Sacramento theatre community grow. On our website, we not only offer
our current season, but the stories you can find throughout the Sacramento

PRIDE REWIND: This June, join us in remembering some of our past shows featuring 2SLGBTQIA+ stories and voices.

“Theater has always been a home for truth, transformation, and identity. This Pride Month, I’m proud to celebrate the voices, stories, and artists in our community who continue to redefine what that truth looks like. Our past work tells the story of where we’ve been as gay artists, but Pride reminds us to keep pushing boundaries, amplifying voices, and creating space for the stories still waiting to be told. I’ve always been drawn to stories that once lived in the margins, and it’s my honor to bring them center stage, where they have always belonged. And I am just getting started.
