Something special is starting this week!
Our co-director Jesse Larrosa Colombo wrote this absolutely beautiful poem.
The House Is Waiting
There is a house
at the edge of the unknown,
its windows dark
with stories not yet told.
Inside,
a new song is stirring,
a melody finding its feet,
a little ghost learning how to breathe.
And we arrive
with paint on our hands,
music in our pockets,
and our best friends beside us.
Artists I admire.
Artists I have yet to meet.
Doors opening
where there were walls before.
We gather everyone we can,
every voice,
every kind of light,
and together we make a place
where no one has to stand
outside.
Because this is the magic
of beginning:
not knowing yet
what the house will become,
only knowing
we have been given the keys.
And somewhere in the dark,
I swear I can hear it, the first note
of something that has never existed before.
