Kids' Test Kitchen is coming to Rye!

Give your child the opportunity to build confidence, independence, and practical life skills—all while having fun in the kitchen!

Kids’ Test Kitchen offers hands-on cooking experiences where kids can chop, measure, mix, create, and explore. Tasting is always a choice, while participation is encouraged. Each class helps kids develop teamwork, problem-solving skills, patience, and confidence that extends far beyond the kitchen.

🥕 What can families expect?
✨ New recipes featuring fresh, whole foods
✨ Evidence-informed nutrition education developed by Registered Dietitians
✨ Hands-on cooking and learning
✨ A recipe card to take home
✨ A featured ingredient or sample of the finished recipe to continue the experience at home

Kids often leave class excited about what they’ve made and eager to recreate their recipes at home!

🎆 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our two-day Fourth of July Celebration!

We loved celebrating with our amazing community and are so grateful to everyone who came out to enjoy the festivities. From the vendors, food trucks, games, and entertainment to Sunday's fireworks, your support helped make the weekend a wonderful success.

Please note an update to the registration date:

Registration for the 2026–2027 school year will begin on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 9:00 AM–4:30 PM at the Rye Recreation Office (55 Recreation Road, Rye, NH 03870).

📍 Registration is in person only.

💵 Deposits must be paid by cash or check. Credit cards will not be accepted.

🏀 Summer Basketball Camp Update! 🏀

Due to interest and feedback, we have updated one of our camp divisions! Our Girls Basketball Camp will now include an 8th–9th Grade Girls Group.

This is a great opportunity for players to develop their skills, build confidence, compete, and have fun alongside athletes in their age group this summer with Community Hoops
