Attention Rutledge Water Customers:
Due to ongoing drought conditions and reduced water supplies, the City is asking all customers to immediately limit non-essential water use. These conservation steps help protect drinking water availability, support fire protection needs, and reduce strain on our water system until conditions improve.
Effective Immediately, please:
* Limit outdoor watering, and avoid watering during the hottest times of day
* Postpone non-essential uses such as washing driveways, sidewalks and vehicles.
* Fix leaks promptly (toilets, faucets, irrigation lines) and check running toilets.
* Take shorter showers and turn off water while brushing teeth or shaving.
* Run dishwashers and washing machines only with full loads.
* Use a shut off nozzle when rinsing and sweeping hard surfaces instead of hosing them down.
* Restaurants: serve water only upon request, when feasible.
If drought conditions continue, additional measures may be necessary, including mandatory restrictions such as limits on irrigation days/hours. We will provide advance notice of any changes and post updates on this page and also on our website at www.rutledgega.us
We appreciate your cooperation and the steps you are taking to conserve. Small changes across the community make a meaningful difference.
For questions, or to report a leak, please contact City Hall at 706-557-2223 or email us at [email protected]
Thank You!
