“We are so excited to have Darin & Brooke Aldridge returning to Rutledge after making their Rutledge debut last year. That concert will be held at Silo Park, the beautiful park generously donated by Mr. Tommy Breedlove. We’re also looking forward to many of our favorites returning, as well as a few new bands. Thanks to our sponsors, we are able to bring national acts, such as Darin & Brooke, in addition to many of our local and regional favorites, each year. Seeing our community come together, sway to the music, smile, sing and dance, is heartwarming and what it’s all about. If we can help them forget their worries and gas prices for a couple of hours, then we’ve succeeded.” said Terry Reeves of Music Matters Entertainment, promoter of the Rutledge Concert Series since 2014. This first concert is the only one in the summer’s series to take place at Silo Park. It was moved to this location since downtown Rutledge will be closed for filming of the Netflix series “Scooby-Doo: Origins.” All of the other concerts in the series will take place on Friday evenings at the Gazebo in City Park in downtown Rutledge as in previous years. There will be no concert on June 12 due to the Netflix filming.
The weekly concerts continue Friday, June 19th and every Friday thereafter through the end of August.
