Caroline Community Theatre is thrilled to welcome David Myers back to our stage in the role of Jonathan in Arsenic and Old Lace.

"DAVID MYERS (Jonathan Brewster) returns to Caroline Community Theatre in a role that marks a decisive departure from his previous work on this stage. While The Wolf in Into the Woods prowled with animalistic instinct, William Blore in And Then There Were None fought merely to survive a mounting body count, and Dwayne in 9 to 5 stood as his wife's steadfast supporter, Jonathan Brewster is something far more deliberate. Stepping into Jonathan’s refined brutality allows David to explore a darker, more intentional realm than any of his prior CCT roles. David holds a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Mary Washington. Beyond CCT, his favorite past roles include Harold in The Boys in the Band, Papa Bear in Shrek the Musical, Beethoven in Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, and Alonso in The Tempest. On screen, he has appeared as featured background talent in Netflix's House of Cards and REELZ's Copycat Killers. He dedicates this performance to his husband Elijah, whose unwavering support makes it possible to explore characters who walk the razor’s edge between charm, humanity, and monstrosity."

Caroline Community Theatre is thrilled to welcome Dave Prior to our stage in the roles of Rev. Harper and Lt. Rooney in Arsenic and Old Lace.

"After retiring from a 40 year career in R&D and IT, Dave’s wife encouraged him to pursue his creative side. Arsenic and Old Lace will be his fist foray on the stage.
Dave says, 'It's wonderful to have a group like Caroline Community Theatre,' and thanks them for providing an opportunity to reach out in new directions."

Caroline Community Theatre is thrilled to welcome Elise Cumbia to our stage in the role of Elaine in Arsenic and Old Lace.

"Elise (Elaine Harper) is thrilled to be making her CCT debut in Arsenic and Old Lace. She recently returned from a two-month independent study in Rome, Italy and is excited to return to the stage. Some of her favorite past roles have included Svetlana in Chess the Musical, Emily in From Up Here, Beth in Little Women, and Matt in Matt & Ben. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, singing, and being outdoors, either hiking/backpacking or running half-marathons around the US."

We are devastated by the loss of Dolly Parton. Her musical, 9 to 5, was a joy and honor to have on our stage and her passing is deeply mourned. Dolly was more than a star. She was an inspiration with a lifetime of serving communities with love, heart, and humility. Her example is one we all should aspire to emulate. Rest in peace, Dolly.
