Talent is only part of the equation.
Artists also need places to show their work. They need opportunities to get paid for it. They need to know when calls for art, grants and professional opportunities become available.
They need connections. They need resources that help them grow not only creatively, but professionally. And they need communities that understand that artists aren't simply making our region more beautiful - they're part of our creative economy.
The Arts Council works to create and connect artists with those opportunities.
Because we want talented people to be able to build creative lives right here in Northeast Louisiana.
Artists create the work. We work to help create the opportunity.
