Meet the Director!
Longtime RCT director, Tami Alexander, took some time recently to share the many reasons she is excited to direct our fall show, and first show of the 2026-2027 season, The Addams Family Musical. Share your excitement for this show and encouragement for Tami in the comments!
Q&A with director, Tami Alexander continued:
A3: The Addams Family musical may not be quite what the audience is expecting. It's incredibly funny, quirky, and full of everything we love about The Addams Family, but this is very much a story about relationships, marriage, family, and what happens when children grow up...Because of the television series, many people picture Wednesday as the younger version they've recently seen on screen. In this musical, Wednesday is a young adult. She's fallen in love, she's making adult choices, and that forces Morticia and Gomez to face that their child is growing up...the show has plenty of the wonderfully dark Addams Family humor audiences expect...there's also a surprisingly grown-up story underneath...all wrapped up in a wonderfully strange, hilarious package.
