Ruston Community Theatre RCT is a local theatre group that strives to create opportunities for the people of Ruston to join. We appreciate your support of Ruston Community Theatre!

We believe that live theater can be an enhancement to all individuals, and is an essential part of any thriving community. We seek to involve the local community in all aspects of theater production and to provide accessibility to audiences in Ruston, and its surrounding communities. We believe that live theater lifts the spirit and provides a social and educational outlet for our community. We co

llaborate with artists and theatrical organizations in an effort to facilitate mutual support, recognition, and the exchanging of ideas. We work to encourage a thriving community of artists and appreciation of theater within Ruston and surrounding areas. Thank you Ruston Kiwanis Club for inviting RCT at today’s meeting and allowing some of our cast members to speak. Jude Hanchey (Grandpa Joe) gave a talk on how involvement with community theatre has impacting him and Caed Baines (W***y Wonka) performed Pure Imagination from the upcoming show. Also in attendance were board members Karen Hanchey and Marybelle Tuten.

Ahh...The eccentric and enigmatic magical chocolatier himself - W***y Wonka! No one knows how he runs his mysterious factory or how he manages to make the most delicious, most coveted, and sweetest treats around, but five lucky finders of golden tickets are soon to find out....

Caed Baines has performed in many shows with RCT, most recently as Young Ebenezzer in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and last summer made 'em laugh as Cosmo Brown from SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, JR. He is a standout competitor with the Ruston High School Speech and Debate team, tennis player and an adept pianist.

Will Easley brings his heartwarming stage presence back to the Dixie Center for this sweet production in his first ever leading role. His last appearance was in the Ensemble in ANNIE. Welcome back, Will!

Of all the grandparents, Charlie as a special bond with his enthusiastic and endearing Grandpa Joe. Bed-ridden for years, Grandpa Joe leaps out of bed at the chance to tour the factory.

Jude Hanchey was recently honored as the Outstanding Performer in a Leading Junior Musical Role for his performance as Don Lockwood in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, JR. He also played the teen pop sensation Joshie in DIARY OF A WHIMPY KID. He is heavily involved in the RCT Youth leadership and the Sports Medicine program with Ruston High.
