Everyone, meet Garrett Carlson ()! 🐢🌳

Garrett is a local artist and illustrator, working out of Farmerville. Garrett has participated in various exhibitions and projects, including Vibrant Perceptions, Dark Brilliance, the Raise the Roof auction at the Masur Museum in Monroe, and more. Here at Creative Exchange, Garrett sells stickers, prints, and signed copies of "Once Upon a Turtle Bay". Also pictured is Garrett's furbaby, Taigen!

New in the store this week are Kingart Sketchbooks! 📓🖍

Our first featured sketchbook from is the 24 Sheet Watercolor Sketchbook! This beautiful 8.5 square sketchbook comes with layflat binding and acid free 140lb paper that will hold up against the toughest watercolors. It also features an elastic closure to keep your artwork safe, as well as a ribbon bookmark, so you always know where the next fresh page is!

The other featured Kingart sketchbook we sell is the 3-in-1 Premium Paper pad! This sketchbook is perfect for the artist who loves to experiment! It has 60lb plain sketch paper (for charcoal, graphite, and other dry media), 110lb mixed media paper (for collage, paint, ink, and other media), and 140lb watercolor paper (for all wet media)! Each section comes with 20 9" x 12" perforated sheets!

Downtown Ruston was bursting with creativity at the Ruston Art Ramble! 🎨✨

I spent the evening rambling from shop to shop, meeting incredibly talented artists, discovering some truly one-of-a-kind creations and putting my talent for spending money to excellent use. 😂

The Ruston Art Ramble happens quarterly, and it’s such a fun way to experience our Downtown Ruston while supporting regional artists and local businesses. If you missed this one, the next Ramble is November 19 from 5:30–8:00 p.m.!

A huge shout-out to Creative Exchange, the Ruston Cultural District, and the Gilbert Center for partnering to bring this event to life—and to every participating business that opened its doors to these artists!

We are absolutely obsessed with oil paints made by ! From vibrant hues like Manganese Blue to beautiful neutrals like Payne's Grey, Gamblin has every color an artist could need! Their paints are made with linseed and safflower oil and the highest quality pigments. We also carry Gamblin's 1980 Oil Colors, which are a student-friendly option! 🎨🫟
