So amazing to work on this project and with an amazing director.

The amount of planning and detail that goes into filming each scene is mind boggling. Here, Brad Etter, director, and Jeremiah Fenn, script supervisor, go over some notes prior to the day's filming. The script supervisor logs the start and end time of each take, Spots inconsistencies (and stray water bottles on set), and keeps copious notes for the film editor, among many, many other things.

Just another day at work. "When the scene is done it will look like Cat and Bubba are in a cave with rising water and they will be swimming out through a tunnel into the Cumberland River hampered by a lot of freshwater seaweed!"

After horse class on 'what we need to know' last Tuesday, we are on to the barn scene. Did you know that horses have the biggest eyes, so it takes them 15 minutes to adjust, and that horses use their ears, head, and tail as a to express emotions, alertness, and physical comfort?

Just another day at work...

It takes so many people to set up for a scene. There are whole teams of lighting, set design, props, wardrobe, hair and makeup, direction, sound, continuity, script supervision, and more. Here, department heads from some of those teams watch a real-time monitor to check an intricate nighttime storm lighting sequence that involves lightning and hallway lights going off and on while still getting exactly the right lighting onto the actor’s face at exactly the right moment.
