The Roxy's Christmas Spectacular

🎄 An Update on The Roxy’s Christmas Spectacular 🎄

After much thought and consideration, I have made the decision to postpone The Roxy’s Christmas Spectacular until 2027.

Since 2019, this show has become such a special Christmas tradition at the Historic Roxy Theatre, and as its writer and director, I have always tried to hold it to a certain standard. Every year, countless hours go into writing, planning, choreography, costumes, music, sets, rehearsals, and all of the little details that make the Spectacular what it is.

This year, there have simply been a lot of moving pieces, both personally and behind the scenes, and I reached a point where I had to make a decision: rush the show just to make it happen, or give it the time and attention it deserves.

For me, the answer was easy. The Roxy’s Christmas Spectacular deserves to be done right.

I am currently in the process of writing an entirely new Spectacular for 2027, complete with a new story, new characters, new choreography, new costumes, and plenty of Christmas magic. Rather than lowering the standard that has been built over the years, I want to take the time necessary to create something our cast, our theatre, and most importantly, our audiences will be excited to experience.

But please don’t misunderstand this announcement…

🎅 CHRISTMAS AT THE ROXY IS NOT CANCELED! 🎄

We WILL be celebrating Christmas at the Historic Roxy Theatre this year — just in a different way! We have something special in the works that will bring our community together and fill the Roxy with music, entertainment, and Christmas spirit.

So while The Roxy’s Christmas Spectacular is taking a short intermission, Christmas at the Roxy most certainly is not.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this show, performed in it, volunteered behind the scenes, and made it part of your family’s Christmas tradition over the years. I am incredibly grateful for what we have built together, and I am already excited about what is coming next.

✨ The Roxy’s Christmas Spectacular will return in 2027 — bigger, refreshed, and full of new Christmas magic. ✨

And as for Christmas 2026… stay tuned. We aren’t finished yet! ❤️🎄

Watch the Historic Roxy Theatre page for an exciting announcement coming soon!

With Christmas Love,

♿️ A Heartfelt Thank You! ❤️

The Historic Roxy Theatre would like to extend a very special THANK YOU to the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association for their generous donation of a wheelchair to the Roxy Theatre!

This thoughtful gift will help us better serve our guests and ensure that everyone who visits the Roxy feels welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. We are incredibly grateful for organizations like Alabama Mountain Lakes that recognize the importance of accessibility and support attractions throughout North Alabama.

Thank you for investing in the Roxy and in the people who enter through our doors! 🎭❤️

We are so appreciative of this wonderful donation and the difference it will make for our guests.
