With sadness we share the closing of livvys. I absolutely loved my booth inside that store it was a breath of fresh air. We hate to see the store closure but happy we got to meet Mindy and be a part of a wonderful place.
Dear Customers, Family, Friends:
It is with profound sadness that I announce the closure of Livvy Mae Boutique's storefront location in Auburn. This decision has been extremely difficult. I have prayed many prayers and shed many tears in coming to this ultimate conclusion. Know that I do not take this course easily, and that I have fought fiercely to steer the other way. Unfortunately, the economy is tough and life is difficult for so many.
Livvy Mae was a dream created and brought to fruition seven years ago. The last five of those years we have been fortunate to call Auburn our home. We have loved serving our community in so many ways, from fundraisers to donations to family events and more. Part of being a small business owner is giving back, and we have strived to show up as often as we were able to do so. I'm proud of the legacy we leave in our community, and it saddens me deeply to no longer hold a permanent place here.
We have been blessed to meet customers that have become friends. To share joys and sorrows. To cry and to laugh. Bonding over life and a love for shopping. Our customers have made such an impact. Because of you, we were able to fully live this dream. To create a beautiful space that always gave me joy to walk into. Thank you for welcoming me and supporting me.
I have also been blessed with the most supportive landlords! They have been in my corner at every turn, and have encouraged me through so much! Because of them, I’ve been able to be exactly where I always dreamt to be! I’m forever grateful for the opportunities and support they have given me.
I have made my business a mission. It's been with me through terrible tragedy. After losing my brother and father only 2 months apart, it gave me something to push toward, to give me purpose through the pain. I am grateful for this outlet that has meant so much more to me than just a clothing business. Every September, we raise money for Su***de prevention awareness, in honor of my brother, and this mission alone has made a huge impact on my life. I only hope it has helped someone else in need as well.
One of my favorite parts of this small business is my employees. I am a boy Mom, and Livvy Mae has always been my "daughter." It's a space where I can be all cute and girly and proudly hang pink and sparkles from wall to wall if that's what I want. More importantly, it's afforded me the amazing opportunity to hire and mentor the best young ladies. They've been like the daughters I never had. I've loved watching each of them grow and succeed in different ways, advance in school, graduate, move on to college and careers, get married, become mothers, and ultimately chase whatever their dreams may be. I've been incredibly blessed with employees that have been beautiful human beings inside and out, and for that I'm so grateful! I believe my greatest legacy is left with them. I hope they know they can always reach out if they need anything!
Don't fret! This is not a complete closure, but just a different chapter. I cannot leave this business that has meant so much to me just yet! I'm thankful for a mobile boutique trailer that I plan to continue hauling around. We will also still have our website active for online shopping. We can still provide shipping or local pickup as well! We hope to find more locations to pop up and still bring fun fashion to you! We will be at The To***co Festival, and we hope to see you there!
Our current plan is to remain open through the end of September! If you are able to come and shop, I would love to see you! We will be running 20% off all full price merchandise that is currently on the floor as we make preparations to close and purge inventory to make way for new items for our mobile shows. All active gift cards will still be honored! You can use them in store this month, or bring them to mobile events, or use them when shopping the website in the future. As my tee says, "Continue; your story is not over." Livvy Mae's story is not over! Trying times are causing a slight pivot and change of pace. This is truly what is needed for myself and my family at this time. Please stay tuned to the page for updates as we finish out our last month in store and make plans for mobile events in the future.
