Kicking off Memorial Day weekend Mayor Fred Teague and Pope County Judge Ben Cross issued proclamations supporting the Semi-quincentennial celebration of America at the Russellville Chamber of Commerce office on Friday. The United States of America will celebrate the 250th anniversary of its independence on July 4th, 2026. Governor Sarah Hucakbee Sanders presented an Arkansas 250 flag to the Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the Arkansas250 Commission. Many activities and a firework celebration will be hosted July 3rd & 4th in downtown Russellville.

Downtown banners from Russellville Tourism were recently hung to commemorate the 250th anniversary and a limited number of window clings are being offered to local businesses free of charge at the Chamber Office at 708 West Main Street.

Russellville Fire Department Advancing Emergency Care 🩸

Megan and Christie are joined by Micah Piker with the Russellville Fire Dept. to learn more about a special project they have been working on for several months.

This addition to the department’s program will provide life-saving measures to the Russellville Fire Department and the community it serves. Once approved, Russellville will be one of the first communities in the state to add this capability to thier units. 🚒
