Integrated Media Concepts was founded by John Montgomery in 1992 based on the integration of media technology in business processes for the purposes of providing rapid access to visual cues during evolutions requiring peak human performance. In 1994, a studio facility was built to address the growing field utilizing streaming motion pictures for sales, training, and production. "Studios" was added

to the name of the company, while shortening "Integrated Media Concepts" to just "IMC". The result was "IMC Studios", a scalable production model converging television, computer, and web technologies.
