The following rules are guidelines referring to race procedures and formats. It is understood that War Zone Raceway RC Club may alter these procedures to suit their races or programs, and in particular for special events. Please refrain from loud profanity or inappropriate discussions. No open toed shoes, flip flops or sandals are to be worn in or around the track. All participants will treat othe
r drivers, marshals, and spectators with respect. It is the driver’s responsibility to know and abide by the class rules. Class rules are posted on our page and can be found in the track rules binder. Professionally discuss any disagreements with other drivers after your driver responsibilities are complete, including marshalling. Physical confrontations will not be tolerated! Any person engaging in physical confrontation will be barred from the track for a minimum of 30 days. Failure to follow the code of conduct may result in a penalty or removal from the races. Practice good sportsmanship both on and off the track. Slower lap cars should move up the racetrack and allow the lead cars to pass. Do not intentionally wreck fellow competitors. Race others the way you want to be raced. You may be black flagged for aggressive driving, if so, you may be disqualified for that class for the remainder of that race program. Do not yell at a track marshal. They will get to your car as soon as it is safe to do so. All racers must have their own personal transponder. You must race the car you register, no swapping drivers. The car you qualify is the car you race. You must run at least one heat to race in the mains. Marshals cannot work on or repair cars in the infield. Popping a ball cup or pulling a body out will be allowed. Caution means slow down. This is for the safety of our marshals. Failure to do so could result in the driver being black flagged. Damaged cars will remain in the infield until the race is over. No one is to run across the track during the race to retrieve a car. Marshals shall not run the car across the track during the race. If the racer can safely drive their car off the track, they may do so. All drivers must marshal the race after theirs, unless medically unable to,
If your race has been called to tech, you must bring your car to the tech area prior to going to your pit. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. It is not our responsibility to find something wrong with your car, it is your responsibility to make sure it is legal! The race director will have ultimate authority over rule enforcement. The primary basis for any rule decision will be based on what is best for the majority of racers. If an item is not addressed within the rules listed here, then you should assume it is not legal!
