Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with us in Rusk!
Beat the heat and start your 4th of July on the Square in Rusk with a full morning of hometown fun for the whole family, hosted by the Thomas Jefferson Rusk Rotary Club. We’re kicking things off early so you can celebrate before the afternoon sun hits.

Time: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM (approx.)
Location: Downtown Square, Rusk, Texas

Schedule of events
9:30 AM – 4th of July Parade
After the parade – Tricycle/Big Wheel Races (Kids K–3rd grade)
Followed by – Gauge Lankford Fireman’s Challenge Competition
Kids Tricycle/Big Wheel Races
Open to children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade
Bring your own tricycle or big wheel (helmets encouraged)
Dress in red, white, and blue and decorate your ride for extra fun
Gauge Lankford Fireman’s Challenge
High energy firefighter skills challenge
Cheer on local firemen as they compete in friendly competition
