Our next director is Jim Penzenstadler — a guy who seems to be everywhere at the fair all at once!

You can find Jim helping 4-H youth in the barns, keeping things organized in the livestock arena, or sprinting across the grounds to tackle whatever electrical challenge pops up next. If something needs fixing, chances are Jim is already on his way!

When he's not keeping the fair running smoothly, Jim is a self-proclaimed fair enthusiast who never passes up a good gyro, footlong or pork burger. He's also our resident photographer, always capturing the special moments, special faces, and memories that make the fair so special.

We are incredibly grateful for Jim's dedication, hard work, and willingness to jump in wherever he's needed. His passion for agriculture, youth programs, and the fair shines through in everything he does, and we're lucky to have him as part of our fair family. Thank you, Jim, for all you do to help make the fair a success year after year! 👏🐄📸🎠

Next up is our fairboard President, Joe Heinonen. Joe grew up in our livestock barns and was the first boy to win the 4-H Showmanship Round UP.

Favorite Fair Food: Goofy Doofy's Gyros

Fair Interests: Joe is all over! From the grandstand to the beer garden and back to the livestock barns. Not necessarily in that order but multiple times a day.

Why did he chose to become a Chisago County Ag Society Director? The fair has always been a second home for me! From watching my aunts and uncles show animals growing up, to showing my own animals, and now my daughter is showing with her nieces and nephew's. The fair will always hold valuable memories and experiences that made me the man I am today. My goal as a director is to extend that opportunity to next generation.
