Eh… I toyed with the idea of opening up my space for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, but it didn’t happen. I thought it would be good since I have set up my table for next week’s craft fair inside my shop… a trial run to see how it looked and what I could fit. I thought maybe someone might want to get a sneak preview or to peruse the artwork before it is open to the masses.
I was, and am, so incredibly tired lately, so I opted to not do that, and take the time to rest.
You will, however, see me at Christmas in the Valley show next Saturday… come early for the best selection. Learn more about my Saturday kids classes, birthday parties, adult paint nights and the Brent Store too, where I will have additional art that won’t be at the show.
I have not done a sale of this type in a long time, and not since returning to Maine. I am trying it out, but these events can be stressful; packing, getting up early, setting up, being social for a long time, the breakdown and later the unloading. All the while you are on display for everyone to see and you watch as people’s expressions tell you what they think of your art.
Then the wonder of “am I going sell a lot, or maybe even sell out?” Or “wow I don’t even make my table money back” or will it be something in between?! 😉
I will work through my anxiety and see you there on Saturday! Stop by, say hi and if you are so inclined, and feel like validating my existence, buy a piece of my art.
Prices are from $3 to $35… so I got some affordable things! Ho ho ho!
