The Kirby Cultural Arts Complex is supported by a partnership between Person County Government, Piedmont Community College and the Person County Arts Council. At the KCAC we have a performing arts theater, art gallery and learning studios. The Kirby Theater is the crown jewel of the arts program. It is located on Main Street in Historic Uptown Roxboro. From its large scale seating for over 800 con

cert-goers to its grand interior featuring tremendous hand painted murals, patrons are visually dazzled even before the show begins. Once a thriving movie palace, the Kirby is the main location for a large portion of arts programming hosting such names as Branford Marsalis, The Count Basie Orchestra and many more. The Kirby Gallery is the Person County sponsored art gallery located in Historic Uptown Roxboro, NC. Each month we feature a new exhibit of local and/or regional artists of all disciplines. The Kirby Learning Studios is the location of Piedmont Community College's AFA program with art, music and theater classes.
