This month Scratched Up Theater presents part one of "Sandy Mantle And The Case Of The Logging Lease", by local playwright Aaron Steinmetz. It's an adventure from the casebook of the detective who never sleeps until he closes the case. Airing on Thursday March 12, the all-local cast features (in no particular order):

We have a very unique program here in Redding called Piano Angels. This non-profit locates unused pianos and finds homes for them. Many find their way, at no charge, to young aspiring musicians who otherwise would not be able to afford one. Thus far, Piano Angels has brought this gift of music to no fewer than 600 homes. In her book, The Town Under Shasta Lake, local author Myra Buteau uses a rich selection of archival photos that take us back in time to the town of Backbone, later re-named Kennet. Happy New Year! Playwright Joe Graceffo, and Scratched Up Radio present Joe's New Years play, "A Good Housewife", this Thursday January 1st and 8th at 8 PM. Originally aired in 2023, directed by John Welsh and featuring Chloe Cody and Dustin Cody, it's the story of a married couple, Donna and Bill Parker, driving to a New Year's Eve dinner party. There's a slight feeling of terseness in their car, and Donna is wondering what's on Bill's mind, a few hours before the beginning of 1964. A rising star in the music scene, Kaitlyn, will treat us to her original music with captivating lyrics. Backing Kaitlyn on electric guitar is her father, John Ace Otten. This Thursday tune in for Joe Graceffo's latest play, "Do You Remember Me?". It stars Samantha Martens as Julia, and Malorie Glavan as Ellen, two former classmates who meet up after 18 years, to dine and discuss their memories of each other in high school. It also features Jim Dowling as the waiter and Halcyon Brimstone as the hostess. It airs Thursday December 4th and 11th at 8 PM, only on KKRN 88.5 FM, and at kkrn.org worldwide, on Scratched Up Radio Theater.

Three short plays by northern California playwrights are on tap this month on Scratched Up Radio Theater, with outstanding performances by the casts.
Ma was just figuring on a normal family dinner. But her sons JoJo and Sal seem to be having a LITTLE disagreement. Directed by John Welsh, the actors are Linda Ragan, Sean Sampson, Amanda Hart and Ryan Mitchell. Catch Joe Graceffo's latest play, based on his own family's gatherings, in "Just A Little Misunderstanding".

It's immediately followed by two short "dark" plays written by Ralph Bourne: "Out-Of-Towner" with Shay Little and Bob Christensen, and "The Night The Generator Failed" featuring Ragan Ragan and Linda Ragan.

This month we present the eerie play "Spirited Journey At Mallori Mansion", written and cast by Saralysette Stauffer. The cast features Nick Anderson as Brandt Brandon, Justin McDavitt as Felix Block and Jessica Wuerth as Philomena Tenkehoff. It airs this Thursday October 2nd and 9th at 8:00 PM.

Brandt, the producer of a show called Spirited Journeys, along with his Tik Tok pop star cousin Felix, and paranormal investigator Philomena are exploring Felix's new home. It belonged to their ancestor, a long-dead gangster, and contains a vault that hasn't been opened in almost a century. What will they find - a fortune in loot, human bones, or maybe just bootleg booze?
