A note from Vandy:
Dear Carpe Diem Family,
After six years serving as Executive Director alongside Artistic Director Brady Walsh, I’ll be stepping down from the role as Lisa England steps in to lead Carpe Diem into its next chapter! I will still be directing Camp alongside Brady, so my connection to this community continues in a meaningful way.
As Carpe Diem grows into its next chapter as a nonprofit, it’s time for our leadership structure to evolve to meet the needs of our growing community. Lisa brings valuable nonprofit experience, a deep investment in our future, and a genuine belief in our mission. She’s been part of the Carpe Diem family since 2022, bringing her time, expertise, and heart to our community as a parent, volunteer, and member of our staff. I have every confidence that under her leadership, Carpe Diem will continue to grow in strength and impact.
It has been the honor of my life to help lead Carpe Diem Theater for these past six years. I am deeply grateful to Brady, Lisa, our Board of Directors, and Advisory Team for their support, encouragement, and wisdom as I have worked through what comes next for me. I love our work, I love our community, and I love watching the transformative power of the arts take hold in our lives. From the performers who find their confidence on stage, to the families, volunteers, and staff who show up year after year, this organization has shaped how our whole community sees what is possible.
Thank you for the trust you have placed in me during my time as Executive Director. I am excited for what lies ahead for Carpe Diem, and I hope you will join me in welcoming Lisa into this new role. I have no doubt she will take it above and beyond.
With gratitude,
Vandy 💚
