Collaborating with to bring the magic of printmaking to Canton, Georgia for a one day print extravaganza! SAVE THE DATE for Saturday, May 2nd for the first ever West Main Print Fest!
Printmakers will be taking over Jamie’s gallery inside and outside! There will be demos and hands on activities throughout the space during the day, a mini market of printmakers including some stellar student representation, and a print invitational exhibition in the main gallery hall! Print Fest will run from 12-7, with a reception for the exhibition from 5-7!
Save the date! Tell your friends! Reach out if you have questions, want to know more, or help! This is all part of my grand goal of celebrating print and getting folks to make stuff with their hands!!!

double rainbow. 🌈🌈
risograph + silkscreen. 11x14”
First print I finished earlier this year after sitting on the risogrpah collage underneath for months. This piece is for Commingle | Fragment portfolio
The piece is named after the double rainbow that appeared over the campsite outside of Taos during sunset after a summer storm passed through 2 1/2 years ago camping with and our dogs. I frequently think about that magical and transcendental moment and how less than 18 hours later my life was turned upside down after having a seizure in my sister’s gravel driveway. How life can be unpredictable and how it is not meant to be easy. How struggle breeds resilience. And most importantly how it takes a village. Friends and family photos appear buried underneath imagery and text. I am forever grateful for the support I have - as I don’t think I’d be here today with the love and support of my village. My double rainbow. 🌈🌈

Color tests on the Riso today in Printmaking 1 as shift gears from relief printmaking for a bit to do some Monoprinting and work on a collaborative class book to print on the Risograph! We have a fairly limited array of color drums to choose from, but even with the six colors we got a lot can be done through the magic of opacity and overlay! Thought these tests made a fine installation to put up as some decor for this weekend’s Spring Arts Festival . I am looking forward to cranking out some T shirts for folks on Saturday and checking out the student market!

Participants will learn the basics of carving and printing relief prints with linoleum and be able to print collaborate with fellow participants to mix and match and make unique printed bouquets! Some highlights from Hooty Hoo! prints from KSU! Reception - was a great turnout of students, friends, family and patrons of the arts! Great range of work on view - has a tough job choosing prints to award!
Lots of the work is for sale and several pieces have already sold with lots of chatter about other potential sales! The work is up through April 4th and all sales for this exhibition go straight back to the artist! Support students! Support artists! Buy local, small and handmade!!!!
Congratulations to Lily Newton Natalie Brown Amy Ramirez .amy.amyamy and Sara Jones .j.art on winning awards! Congratulations to all the students who are in the exhibition!!
Major thanks to the generous support of a couple (anonymous) who made it possible to have financial awards as part of this exhibition. Mable House Arts Center for hosting. Chris Neuenschwander for jurying. All the students for submitting. All the folks who showed up for the reception!
Truly couldn’t have asked for a better evening to follow an extremely rough precious couple days. I love printmaking but even more so I love spreading my passion for the medium to others and seeing the amazing work students make and create, seeing them get to showcase and sell that work in public settings, well that’s something that makes it all worthwhile and brings me joy.
If you’re a student or see a student whose work I have not tagged please comment so I can tag and credit your work! Just trying to share some glimpses of the work on display from the limited pics I took at the show! 😜
My car might have died the other day. But PRINT IS FOREVER!

Modern Quixote. Drawing 12 x12” made as artwork to accompany a song of the same name that perhaps I will get around to releasing this year… as .studios did I a great job recording and producing it along with a few others I also made art for to keep secret for some reason.
Alas, this piece has taken on an allegorical dimension in recent times…

The prints are IN, the vibes are SET, and it’s time to celebrate some 🔥 talent from Kennesaw State’s printmakers! 🎨🖨️
I am super excited and proud to see this exhibition of student printmakers from come together! Alumni, printmaker, illustrator and all around cool guy was kind enough to jury and will be awarding $600 in prizes to the top four prints in the show! 🏆
Over 100 pieces were submitted for consideration and we accepted as much as we could fit for a broad range of styles, themes, and process. From colorful screenprints to bold letterpress, intricate intaglio and radical relief prints - the exhibition will have something for everyone! And the majority of students will be selling their work! Support these emerging talents by attending the reception, sharing the event and work, and buying their handmade work!

This show will be up February 27th through April 4th with a reception on Thursday, February 27th. alumni & printmaking wizard has been asked to jury this exhibition! From generous donations there is a prize fund that will go to the artists of the top 4 pieces in the exhibition!
