Adventure Acres features a nature themed playground, splash pad, pavilion with restrooms, quarter mile walking trail, solar powered charging station and green space for picnics, frisbee and other non-organized recreation.

Splash pad update: Unfortunately, the splash pad will be closed again this week, although the rest of the park will remain open.

Paint on the splash pad surface is peeling/chipping and must be removed before the area can be resurfaced. To complete the work properly, the surface must remain dry for several days before and after a new coating is applied.

Recent wet weather has delayed these repairs, but crews will be working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible once drier conditions prevail.

We know many of you are eager to enjoy Adventure Acres, and we’re just as excited to welcome everyone. Right now, though, the newly installed sod needs time to establish roots — and that means limiting foot traffic and allowing crews to focus on watering and final preparations.

To help protect the new turf and get the park ready for summer, Adventure Acres will be CLOSED to the public until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20.

Your patience now will help ensure the park opens in the best possible condition for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation and ask that you please avoid visiting the site until it officially opens.

Site amenities like trash cans, picnic tables and benches are being installed today! There is a little bit left to do with the Walker Rocks concrete stencil, signage placement, grass growth, general site clean-up... and permitting from the health department. Look for a big announcement next week!
