Ok so the Battlefield Blaze is in the books but it didn’t turn out like I would’ve liked with that being said..
I’m sorry for the track conditions
Let me start from the beginning it’s going to be a long post so here goes..

Monday, I made a post about the Battlefield blaze two day show on Tuesday I got a phone call yelling at me asking why I am racing on a Friday night like I had done something wrong  well this Race has been on my schedule since February when I made the schedule so after that phone call it didn’t set right, but I brushed it off. I went down to the track after work. And I uncovered it so that Wednesday it could dry out some so that I could break the surface up and give it a smooth new surface. So me and a few Buddys went down there and broke the surface up and rolled it down, but the track did not cooperate. It started clumping up and pulling apart and at this time it was about 1230 1 o’clock in the morning so I said OK we’ll just come down here Thursday and see what we can do. So I left work early on Thursday and went down there and worked on the track until a massive storm come through with the most amount of rain in the shortest amount of time I have seen in a long time at this point it was about 1 o’clock in the morning. We finally got loaded up and went home to start all over again on Friday. I got to the track about 10 o’clock in the morning and worked on it all day for it to end up not having the greatest surface at all. I mean sometimes things just don’t go your way if it could break down it definitely did within two days so not only wasn’t working on the track. I was working on the equipment. Just trying to get a Race surface to Race on.  Friday evening only about 10 to 15 racer showed up so I told everybody just to have fun on the track. We’re not racing on this surface that I’m gonna spend all night long fixing it. That’s when a gentleman by the name of. Jimmy Hawkins said hey I have a tractor with a box blade. Do you want me to go get it? I said man it would help a whole lot so he drove 30 minutes. Home loaded the tractor up and brought it to the track so that I could fix the surface at this point. It still wasn’t great, but it was a lot better than it had been so we all finally laid down about 2 o’clock in the morning to get up Saturday and try to have a good day of racing ..

Saturday morning a few racers started rolling in checking the track out and I’m explaining to them what all has happened and a lot of them are understanding but with that being said there was a few that said man why is it so bumpy? It’s hard to race on trust me, I understand, but if y’all only knew what it took to get it to where it was a lot of people don’t understand how much work goes into a track how much work it is for a promoter to even try to get racers to come to an event to try to get the track in perfect condition in the promoters eyes which it never is in their eyes perfect but all we can do is try and I’m here to tell you I never gave up but at this point I was disappointed in the track. I was disappointed in the crowd that showed up. I was just ready to leave and I never wanted to get this way but sometimes you can only take so much until you say you’re done well I have reached that point so I hope everyone had a good time and I hope to see y’all all around ..

 With all of that being said I’m (cookie)  giving up the promoting of Battlefield Raceway. I’ve really enjoyed doing it for the past year, but man, I can only take so much especially when other tracks won’t work with you when I took this track over there was maybe four tracks within 100 miles so it wasn’t that complicated now it feels like there’s 10 and I’m here to tell you if they don’t start working together there will not  be any because the promoters and the tracks can’t last without the people I mean the people is what makes it and without them you have nothing ..  within these past few days I’ve come so close to saying I’m done with RC racing. And that is not what I want because I really do enjoy it. I love it so this is one of the biggest reasons. I’m stepping away. I’m gonna try and go and enjoy the sport that I love.
Dion left the decision up to me to pick who I thought would be the best promoter for the track so I have made my decision. It doesn’t come lightly. It doesn’t come easy, but I do believe that these two will do a great job.
So your new Battlefield Raceway track promoters are
Zack Bailey and Jeff Bailey.

I’m Still gonna be at Battlefield helping them through the transition throughout the end of the year, but they are running the show and I know they’ll do a great job .

For all those that are asking yes we are racing. Yes, I am working on the track. It’s going to be in good shape. Come Friday. Also just a heads up this is Cookie and this is the last Race that I’m running at Battlefield so come support me for one last time

Friday is practice and round1
Saturday is round 2 then mains
If you can’t make it Friday it will not effect your starting position on Saturday it’s best 1 out of 2 heats

Practice will start Saturday morning when I get up I’m sleeping at the track

Saturday 8-8-26 at BFR didn’t turn out how I wanted it to but that’s Mother Nature.. no one can say I didn’t try my hardest to if you were there you probably watched me and Zack get absolutely drowned trying to cover the track up.. 
Upfront racing offered us. They’re never ran dirt oval to Race on so we all got together and went there.

So a big shout out to both Darren’s. Thank you guys so much.

 I also wanna say thank you to Billy and Bryson Ferguson at old mine Speedway forgetting that track super fast and smooth

I’m so glad to see All tracks working together. It really does mean a lot.
