Good Idea, Right? Olivia Rodrigo Revives the Spirit of Lilith Fair, Raises $20 Million for Charity at Inaugural All-Female Daisy Chain Fields Festival

I’m so aware of all the women that came before me, all the women that fought so I could speak my mind,” declared Rodrigo, who noted that her mother and grandmother were in the audience. “At a time when people said that two women couldn’t be headliners on the same festival bill and two women couldn’t be played back-to-back on the same radio station, [McLachlan] created the first all-women festival and shattered everyone’s expectations. Without Lilith Fair, there would be no Daisy Chain.”

Net profits from ticket sales will go to nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls, such as the Center for Reproductive Rights, Planned Parenthood, and Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health. All of the artists have agreed not to take a profit from their performances.
