🎤 2026 National Anthem Auditions Are Open! 🎤

Have you ever dreamed of performing the National Anthem at Sutter Health Park? We’re now accepting audition demos from solo vocalists and instrumentalists!

📅 Deadline: Friday, January 30
🎶 Perform an a ca****la or solo instrumental version of the Star-Spangled Banner (full song, under 90 seconds)

Big News: New Vocal Coach, Singer Spotlight & January Classes

⭐️ Singer Spotlight: Ava

At just nine years old, Ava has one of the biggest voices in the studio! She recently starred as the lead in her school’s production of Annie, taking on some of the highest and most demanding songs in musical theater. Instead of shouting through those big notes like many singers do, Ava put in the work — focusing on clean vowels, strong mix voice coordination, a confident musical theater belt, and using vibrato in all the right places.

After almost a year of lessons, her technique, stage presence, and confidence have grown tremendously.

Fun fact: Ava is also an amazing soccer player — and her dog Bud even made his stage debut in the show, too!

Her mom shared:

"My 9-year-old daughter has been taking voice lessons with Emmett for about 10 months, and the difference in her voice (and her confidence!) has been amazing. He’s so fun and personable that she looks forward to every lesson, but he’s also incredibly knowledgeable and brings out the best in his students."

November Updates: Don’t Miss Layla’s Performance + New November Group Class Dates!

🎭 Singer Spotlight: Layla

At just 14, Layla has already performed in an incredible 23 shows! Naturally an alto, her training has helped her strengthen her mix and develop a powerful, healthy belt for musical theatre. Her vocal growth has exceeded expectations, and she’s now hitting higher notes with ease and confidence.

Her mom shared:

“Training has helped her consistently and safely discover her mixed belt. She’s naturally an alto, and now easily hits the higher notes needed for musical theatre. Her vocal growth has surpassed our expectations, but the best part has been how much joy you bring to the learning experience. The engagement, encouragement, and safe space you create with the kids is priceless, and we’re so grateful for your guidance.”

We’re so proud of Layla’s continued growth and can’t wait to see her on stage again soon. Watch the video of her performance as Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice!

🌟 Singer Spotlight: Nic 🌟

Nic’s musical journey started at just two years old on piano, and he’s been creating ever since. A true multi-instrumentalist, he plays vocals, bass, keys, guitar, drums, and is now learning trumpet.

From touring with Dead City Sunday to fronting his cover band Popular Demand, Nic continues to bring incredible skill and passion to every project.

He has been working with Emmett for more than 11 years, growing as both a performer and recording artist. Nic also works as a recording and mix engineer, and currently writes, sings, and plays bass in his new band Siqoria.

Outside of music, he travels nationwide as a Director of Photography and camera operator for production companies and marketing firms.
