ATTENTION ALL YOU TALENTED FOLKS! I am looking for a warmup act for my Melodrama that will be presented as part of the Rosemount Area Arts Council's "Art Blast" which is held (Usually in June,) but this year it will be held from Thursday, August 19 - Sunday, August 29. SPECIFICALLY, we need a 45 minute act; in the past we have had standup comics, magicians, dancers, singers; you get the idea. It will be held on TUESDAY, August 24 from 6:30-7:15 pm. It will be OUTSIDE in Rosemount's Central Park Amphitheater. There is no admission charge to the audience, BUT YOU WILL BE PAID. FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTS. DM me please.

The Front Porch Players of Rosemount, a part of the Rosemount Area Arts Council, will be holding auditions for its Winter play “The Odd Couple,” by Neil Simon, Directed by Xander Cavanagh, on Sunday December 8, 6-9 pm and Monday, December 9, 6-9 pm at the Rosemount Steeple Center, 14375 S. Robert Trail, Rosemount. Rehearsals begin on January 2 and will run typically Monday-Thursdays, 6-9 pm, through show opening.

There are roles for five men and two women. All are invited to audition! Please prepare a 1-2 minute comedic monologue (you can read it) for the audition. Auditioners will be seen on a first come-first seen basis.

The show opens on February 28 and will run Fridays and Saturdays (2 shows on Saturday) through March 7. If you have questions, please contact Keith Reed, [email protected]

CLOSING WEEKEND! Only three more chances to see the Rosemount Community Theater - the Front Porch Players of Rosemount's production of the award winning play, "Deathtrap" written by Ira Levin, author of Rosemary's Baby, The Boys from Brazil, the Stepford Wives, among others. The show will be at the Rosemount Steeple Center Theater, at 14375 S. Robert Trail in Rosemount on Friday, 10/18 7 pm or Saturday, 10/19, 2 pm and 7 pm. It is a Comedy/Thriller which was the longest running play of that genre on Broadway. Tickets will be available at the door, or go to rosemountarts.com/deathtrap to reserve yours. The box office will be open from 2-4 pm on Friday, at the Rosemount Steeple Center. (Not recommended for children under 14.)

The Front Porch Players of Rosemount announces the opening of "Deathtrap," by Ira Levin (Author of "Rosemary's Baby," "A Kiss Before Dying," "The Stepford Wives," among others,) and directed by Keith Reed, at the Steeple Center Theater, 14375 S. Robert Trail, Rosemount, Minnesota, on Friday, October 11 2019. Shows will be Fridays, Oct. 11 and 18 at 7 pm and Saturdays, October 12 and 19 at 2 pm and at 7 pm. Admission is $15 ($12 for RAAC and SAP members, and tickets will be sold at the door or on rosemountarts.com/deathtrap. Not recommended for children under 14. Cast includes Tommy Rivard as Sidney Bruhl, Robin Gilmer as Myra Bruhl, Joe Nickell as Clifford Anderson, Michelle Storm as Helga Ten Dorp, and Tony Sasso as Porter Milgrim. "Deathtrap" holds the record for the longest running Comedy/thriller on Broadway. It was nominated for a Tony award as best play.

The Front Porch Players of Rosemount, a part of the Rosemount Area Arts Council and Rosemount's Community Theater, will be presenting the Original four-act version of Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest,” directed by Keith Reed, in October. Auditions will be held on Sunday, July 29 and Monday, July 30 from 6-9 PM at the Rosemount Steeple Center Theater, 14375 S. Robert Trail in Rosemount.

AUDITION NOTICE: The Front Porch Players of Rosemount, in partnership with The Rosemount Area Arts Council, announces auditions for its Spring, 2018 play, “Murder Among Friends.” This comedy/mystery has been described as “Clever, amusing, and very surprising." - The New York Times; and "A slick, sophisticated show that is modern and very funny." - WABC TV.
Take an aging, exceedingly vain actor; his very rich wife; a double dealing, double loving agent; plunk them down in an elegant New York duplex and add dialogue crackling with wit and laughs and what do you have? The basic elements for an evening of pure, sophisticated entertainment! Angela, the wife and Ted, the agent, are lovers and plan to murder Palmer, the actor, during a contrived robbery on New Year's Eve. But actor and agent are also lovers and have an identical plan to do in the wife. A murder occurs, but not one of the planned ones.
Auditions will consist of readings from the script, and will be held on SUNDAY, December 10 and MONDAY, December 11 from 5-8 pm at the Rosemount Steeple Center, 14375 S. Robert Trail in Rosemount. Casting for four males (ages 20-50+ and two females, 20-50+.
Rehearsals begin January 16 and will run most Mondays – Thursdays until show opening on Friday, March 9. Shows will run Friday, March 9 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, March 10 at 2 pm and 7 pm; and Friday, March 16 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, March 17 at 2 pm and 7 pm.

The Front Porch Players of Rosemount announces auditions for a Melodrama to be presented at the Rosemount Area Arts Council’s annual Art Blast. We will be presenting “Mine, All Mine or From Ghost Town to Kaboom Town,” written by Denise K. Buhr. Audition dates are Monday and Tuesday, May 22 and 23, 6-8 pm at the Rosemount Steeple Center, 14375 S. Robert Trail in Rosemount. Performance date is Tuesday, June 20, 7:30 pm at the Rosemount Central Park Amphitheater. Roles are available for 3 males and 3 females, ages 20-60. Rehearsals will be June 13, 17 and 18, 5-8 pm.
