In case you’ve been wondering if we are still doing laser stuff, we are! We’ve definitely slowed down with craft shows but the laser is focused and ready for any projects you might have! Here’s this evenings set-up for a custom order of hats of a repeat customer!

What a week on the homestead! We added some new animals and it seems like all the tomatoes are coming ready at once we so did a batch of spicy salsa!

The carrots are vibrant and tasty this year!

We harvested these carrots early to allow room for the rest of the batch to get nice and big! Did you plant root vegetables this year?

Growing up we always did our canning in big batches, it generally was an all-day affair that ended with the kitchen looking like a tornado went through. I’ve followed in the footsteps of my mother and grandmother and made canning days an all-day thing by letting the harvest build up in the fridge for a couple of days and then tackling it but this year has been different with a little one. As the beans come ready they are getting canned in small batches, the broccoli frozen a bag at a time, and I’m sure once the tomatoes turn they will also be done in a normal pot and not a giant stock pot like years past. Our sweet girl has been earthside for two months now and in those two months she has shown us to slow life down and sit back and enjoy the small little things one small batch at a time.

Life on the homestead has been slower than past springs as we welcomed our little girl in April. We are so blessed with all the new life around us!
