Sad day in our Brash Rodeo family. We have lost a great friend. Sending hugs and prayers for family and friends. You will be missed Ben. You’re one of a kind buddy.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating loss of our ranch hand and rodeo crew boss, Ben. He was not just an employee of our rodeo — he was family. For many years, he worked alongside us, becoming an irreplaceable part of our operation and our lives. He was present not only for the work, but for our holidays, our milestones, and the everyday moments that make a family.

He showed up day after day not simply because it was his job, but because he truly cared. He was dependable, kind, and someone everyone could count on. A friend to all, he had a way of bringing people together and making even the hardest days better.

Tragically, his life was taken far too soon in an accident. He was a young man with so much ahead of him, and his passing has left a void that cannot be filled. This loss is immeasurable, and he will be deeply missed by our rodeo family and the entire rodeo community.

We are grateful beyond words for the years we were blessed to have him with us. His memory, work ethic, and heart will forever remain a part of this rodeo.

While our hearts are broken and this loss feels impossible to understand, we know he had a deep faith and is with his Savior. We ask that you please keep his family in your prayers, especially his son, Paxton, as they walk through this unimaginable loss.

2026 Southwest Leals Region – Southwest and Arizona Contestant Information

We are excited to offer several competitive opportunities for the Southwest Leals Region contestants, (and visitors from other regions) for the 2026 season. The schedule has been in development since this past fall and may continue to see minor adjustments through February 15, 2026.

***Please note that the Leal's Junior Bull Riding Championship membership is not up for purchase for 2026 season, as soon as it is, we will post the link here for you!!

💰 Payout Structure
Payouts per rodeo are based on the number of contestants entered in each age group:

1–5 contestants: Pays 1 winner

6–11 contestants: Pays 2 winners

12–16 contestants: Pays 3 winners

17+ contestants: Pays 4 holes

🎟️ Season Advancement
At the conclusion of the season, the top three (3) contestants in each age group will advance to Las Vegas, Nevada.

🪪 Leals Bull Riding Card Requirement
All contestants must have a valid Leals Bull Riding card prior to competing.

If the card is not available for purchase by the first event, it must be purchased within five (5) business days of becoming available on the Leals Bull Riding website.

Please contact Leals Bull Riding directly with any questions regarding card purchase (contact email can be found on their website).

⚠️ Important:
Leals Bull Riding requires a separate card for each region you compete in.

If you select the Southwest Region, you must carry a Southwest Region card to compete — no exceptions.

🎟️ Raffle Ticket Requirement
All contestants are required to sell raffle tickets.

Tickets will be distributed at the second rodeo you compete in. (1/30-/1/31)

Tickets are due at the following rodeo. (2/28)

💵 Fees & Entry Information
All contestants will pay an entry fee, which places them into the jackpot for that event.

The entry fee includes:

Stock fee (paid directly to the stock contractor for the animal ridden)

$5 grounds fee

$5 personnel fee

These fees help cover:

Insurance

EMT services

Arena and event personnel

🤝 Volunteer Requirement
Each family is required to volunteer at one (1) event during the season.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

Panel teardown and garbage duty in Wickenburg

Assisting with the 50/50 raffle at Dillon’s Western Trails Ranch

A volunteer sign-up form must be completed to select your preferred rodeo and duty.
(The volunteer section can be selected on individual entry forms.)

📝 Entry Deadlines
Entries will open a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to each event.

Entries will close 10 days before the event.

Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances.

All stock will be provided by local, approved stock contractors, with age- and size-appropriate livestock, including:

406 Rodeo

Cam Steel

Additional approved subcontractors
