There are 31 theater organs in the U.S. in their original locations in theaters. Most of them have been altered significantly and have been computerized or have added other digital "enhancements." One of these 31, and one of the few that has not been digitized is the 3 manual, 10 rank Moller theater organ at the Capitol Theatre. On Saturday, September 26 at 7:00 the Capitol will present Alfred Hitchcock's 1927 silent movie, THE LODGER, accompanied live on the Capitol Moller organ with one of the world's foremost silent movie musicians, Dr. Philip C. Carli, at the console. THE LODGER was the third film directed by "The Master of Suspense," and his first thriller. (Also the first movie to include a Hitchcock cameo!) The feature will be preceded by the 1928 cartoon, KO-KO'S HOT DOG. Adults $8, seniors/students/military $7, Capitol Friends $6, Children 12 and under $4. Tickets are available at the door or in advance from the Capitol Theatre.
