We have a number of services available to both the professional artist as well as the general public. OOAK Artisan Showcase (OOAK =One Of A Kind) is owned and operated by Melvin and Shelley Turner who dream of bringing a new experience to Central New York. Our new space in located in Rome, NY. We have a small gallery area with art supplies and materials for sale. Soon we will be offering consignme

nt space for our member artists. We are so excited! In addition to all this, we will be offering workshops and classes; one-time sessions and weekend retreats in gorgeous Central New York locations. In addition to classes with local art instructors OAS will fly in nationally and internationally known artists to teach our retreats, with some being held at special destinations! OOAK Artisan Showcase is interested in all art mediums, believing "art" to be anything you produce during your creative time. Our exhibits may include fine art, mixed media art, photographers, ceramicists and sculptors, woodworkers, - basically any, and all visual art- but our main focus is on artisan made jewelry. If you are a collector or just love art in general, we want to introduce you to our amazing friends and fellow artists! It is our hope you will learn about a new medium and even choose to join in and take a class or workshop. We get a really great feeling when one of our visitors chooses to try their own hand at something new!

Our prayers are with the residents and businesses in Rome after the devastating tornado that went through yesterday. I am grateful that there were no injuries reported and our children and grandchildren are safe. We trust God will be with everyone as they rebuild and become an even better city.

Lord, I pray for full restoration, especially to Your houses of worship. Put your arms around those who are fearful, replace their fear with Your peace - a peace that passes all understanding. Lord, be with the government leaders in the City of Rome and Oneida County as they direct resources and support. Be with the workers at National Grid as they attempt to repair and restore electricity. Protect the citizens as they help to clean up their streets and yards. Put a hedge of protection around them. This I ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
