Okay, time for a little life update.
With new tariffs hitting many of my clay and glaze materials and the rising cost of, well, everything, I’ve had to take a hard look at how to keep my pottery practice sustainable. Not just for me, but for you—my community, my customers, and my fellow artists.
The reality is, making art is getting more expensive, and I know that for many of us, spending on handmade goods is feeling like more of a luxury. So, in order to keep creating without burning out or breaking the bank, I made a big decision: I’ve taken on a full-time job.
This was not an easy choice, and I know it may feel bittersweet—especially to those of you who have been following my work for a long time. But here’s the good news: I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always be making. Creating is who I am.
That said, you may notice a smaller batch of work from me and fewer markets on my calendar. I’ll still be around on socials, sharing process shots and studio peeks, and my website will stay stocked with the treasures I do have time to make.
If you’ve had your eye on something or just want to support me before my work gets a little more rare, come see me this weekend in Tipton, IA! I’d love to see your faces and share what I’ve been working on.
Thanks for riding this wave with me. It means more than you know. 💛
