The Rogers Public Library will celebrate its official grand reopening on Saturday, May 9 at 11 a.m., marking the full return of one of the communityβs most valued public spaces. The Library is located at 711 S. Dixieland Road.
While portions of the facility were under repair following the Memorial Day tornado, library services never stopped. Staff adapted operations and continued serving residents throughout the process. In 2025 alone, the Rogers Public Library served more than 66,000 visitors and hosted over 600 programs. While some events were held in the building, many were offered off-site to ensure continued access to services and programming.
βEven with the challenges, our staff stayed focused on serving the community. We never stopped, and now weβre ready to welcome everyone back into a fully open space.β
Hannah Pearce, Library Director
The reopening also reflects long-term improvements to the facility. In addition to restoring tornado damage, the library now features an upgraded roofing system and improved site drainage designed to better protect the building and extend its lifespan.
The Rogers Public Library has long served as a hub for learning, creativity, and connection in Rogers. As the final major City facility to fully reopen following the tornado, the library represents a significant milestone in Rogersβ recovery efforts.
βThis is the last major piece, and it means our community finally has everything back. We appreciate the patience from our residents through all of this. Itβs good to see the library fully open again.β
Mayor Greg Hines
The grand reopening celebration will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony and remarks from Mayor Greg Hines and Library Director Hannah Pearce. Community members are invited to stay and enjoy family-friendly activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., including:
