It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Billy Sharp, the founder of Sharps' Show.

Billy’s vision, dedication, and love for this community laid the foundation for what our fair has become today. His passion for supporting local artists and bringing people together will continue to be felt for years to come.

We are deeply grateful for the legacy he leaves behind and the impact he had on so many lives.

After 25 years of dedicated service, we are proud to announce the upcoming retirement of Deputy Richard Henry from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Richard began his law enforcement career in 1997. Over the years, he has served in many vital roles, including Lake/Warrants Deputy, Field and Civil Deputy, CID Investigator, Transport Deputy, Judicial Deputy, Rogers Court Bailiff, and most recently as a Jail Deputy. His career also includes a period of service with the Pea Ridge Police Department from 2015 to 2018.

Throughout his career, Richard has received numerous awards and commendations, including multiple life-saving awards, recognition from the City of Rogers, and acknowledgment from the Governor’s Office for his role in the Coppermine shootout. He also achieved a perfect score on his pistol qualifications twice. Richard was previously honored as the Arkansas Attorney General District 3 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, named Benton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy of the Year in 2004, and received an Arkansas State Police award in 2008 for traffic enforcement.

Richard helped establish and lead the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, developed and led s*x offender information-sharing programs and task forces, and worked closely with the United States Marshals Service as part of the S*x Offender and Violent Crime Task Force for Northwest Arkansas. His leadership and determination were instrumental in tracking and apprehending many of the county’s most wanted offenders.
