Is this a painting by Picasso or Monet? Its better! Its Caroline Welsch!!

Caroline grew up in North Georgia and is a recent transplant to Northwest Arkansas. In high school she was involved in tech theatre where she helped build and paint sets. She graduated from the University of North Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in studio art where she focused on painting and ceramic sculpture. After college she worked for a local Georgia sculptor and was involved in a local community art center. She looks forward to translating her art making skills into prop design.

Lilly is a functioning starving artist, and cat mom, that lives by “She Works Hard for the Money” by Donna Summer. She joined DLTG because she enjoys exploring the world of theatre and the stories within it. "Glad to say I'm part of this one and I anticipate where this story may go."

Don't look now! Okay, maybe a peek. Its our Scenic Designer, Matt Bragg!!

Hailing from Northwest Arkansas, Matt Bragg is a Junior Theatre Performance major at Missouri Southern. He has been a part of numerous local productions throughout his undergraduate education, ranging from community theatre to collegiate theatre and choir ensembles. His favorite roles include Matt Friedman in MSSU’s upcoming production of "Talley’s Folly" (MSSU Theatre), Laurie in "Little Women" (Joplin Little Theatre), and Jeeves in "Jeeves at Sea" (Stonesthrow Dinner Theatre). Defying Limits will be the first theatre company Matt will create stage designs for.

Shining bright like a diamond, our Lighting Designer, Kerynn Ervin!!!

Kerynn was born in California before moving to arkansas when she was 14, she was a very shy kid growing up so being in theatre forced her out of her comfort zone. There she thrived on all things production, acting, and backstage work. She was one of the top thespians in her highschool theatre club having over 300 volunteer hours! She loves making her friends smile.

Mark is currently seeking a Master of Liberal Arts at Arkansas Tech University. He enjoys night drives, snowy days, and the beach. On the side, he writes web novels, plays video games with his friends, and works on his Japanese language skills. He is ecstatic to join DLTG and looks forward to the future of it!

Lights, camera, action! Its our Videographer, Josh Farrell!

Josh Farrell is a creative filmmaker and video producer from Fayetteville, Arkansas. In 2022, he co-founded a film company and YouTube channel alongside his cousins, where they explore their passion for storytelling and digital media. With a strong background in video editing and production, Josh has worked on a variety of projects, including short films, skits, video essays, and comedy reels. He is excited to join Defying Limits Theatre Group to help showcase the behind the scenes efforts and work with creatives in a new format on stage.

Michael Byrd is a lifelong supporter and participant in the theater and the arts. Spending most of his time on the dark side of the theater he has held many roles from curtain-puller to stage manager. After a few years break he began participating in the NWA theater scene and found a community.

Calla Bassett Bigg, is a trans man and their pronouns are he/him. He is a graduate student studying astrophysics. He loves to write, swim and sing and play larp on the weekends. He has surprising amount of graphic design experience for an astrophysicist, some for work and some for personal projects. Fun fact! Ashley Cohea is an NWA native who brings heart, hustle, and hospitality to the front of house. With almost 20 years experience in professional and academic theatre, Ashley has managed ticketing, events, and community outreach—always with a deep commitment to making theatre accessible and welcoming for all. Her dedication isn’t just professional; it’s deeply personal. Away from the theatre Ashley is an avid concert-goer and vintage toy collector. She can often be found hunting the local flea markets for He-Man, She-Ra, and TMNT finds with her husband and son or hitting the road for the live shows.
