“Moments No. 1 (Various)” (2016)
Polaroids
38 x 26 x 2.5 in

“I use photos as findings and documentation of the world I encounter on an everyday basis,” shares Perkins.

“Photography just happens to be the simplest tool for me to capture such a fleeting moment. I think photos are my own way of saying, ‘I was here at this date and time and here is what I saw.’ These ‘findings’ then serve as launching points – much like a sketch.”

View Landon Perkins’s work on display until 05.28.

Landon Perkins: Caution No. 1–7

“What really is a ‘boundary’ when you look at land from a larger perspective? At a boundary, you can simultaneously be in two places at once—just by stepping back and forth between an invisible line.”

Perkins’s “Caution” pieces invite you to step into the in-between and reconsider the systems that define our space.

Explore the full “Forward Places” solo exhibition now through 05.28.
