It has taken a few years, but covid has finally taken down our group. We are disbanding as of December 31, 2025. With fewer members we are regrouping as an art club and will still meet every last Monday of the month at 1pm in the Roland Park Community Center.

If you are +50 years old, and are interested in art, come see what we are up too in 2025.

Today I delivered the final 3 portraits to 80 Santa Fe Art Gallery, 8001 Newton St., Overland Park, Ks for the "Faces" show opening Friday, January 19, 5-7pm.

Brittany Noriega will be our guest artist on Monday, Nov. 22 at 1pm. Brittany Noriega is a contemporary multi-disciplinary artist living and working in the Kansas City area. Her work is strongly influenced by her studies in Sociology and focuses on societal and personal issues, emotions and experiences. She studied Studio Art and Sociology in the Black Hills of South Dakota and her work is currently on display in South Dakota, Missouri and Kansas. She has been published both nationally and internationally, and has 10+ years of studio, exhibition and operations experience.

Jose Faus will be our speaker May 24. He is an artist, writer and poet with degrees in visual and literary arts, plus is an Artist INC facilitator. His murals are throughout Kansas City; as well as in Mexico and Bolivia, for which he received a cultural ambassador grant from the U. S. State Department. Jose writings have been featured in a number of publications and in 2011 he received the ‘Poets & Writers Maureen Egen Writer’s Exchange Award’. He is a founding member of Kansas City’s Latino Writers Collective and sits on the boards of Nuevo Eden and The Writes Place.

Jose Faus is a native of Bogota, Colombia and a long-time Kansas City resident. He is a visual artist, performer, writer and teacher.
