🤡 Send in the Clowns 🤡

Clownin’, our newest short film, is NOW AVAILABLE to view on the Picket Fence Productions YouTube Channel (link in bio)! Above are a handful of stills from the short.

Clownin’ is a short we shot as an assignment at VCU during the Spring Semester of 2022. Though it quickly became more than just an assignment, as a shared passion for the story grew amongst the classmates/crew who worked together to bring it to life!

I had the idea for the concept I called “Clownin’” years ago. The narrative centered around a washed up, drug dealing clown. Many of the stories variables changed over the years, but the one thing I knew that needed to be a part of Clownin’ no matter what, was to have a pair of clown shoes slung over a power line… hence the official Clownin’ poster!

The point of all this is to say that the idea of Clownin’ has been around for a while, but it would never have reached this amazing final form it is in now if it weren’t for the exceptional, talented cast and crew who helped the story evolve and ultimately brought it to life! I could not have asked for a better team. Not to mention, we shot this in little time, with practically no budget, and no control of our environment 😅

I am immensely proud of what we have made and I hope you all enjoy watching it, as much as we enjoyed making it!

Happy NYE! There’s no better way to send off 2022 than with a little CHAOS 🍾🙌😈

This director’s cut of this amazing song by Liam Chafin was brought about for a couple of reasons…
Firstly, we got such great feedback from the original video and had the idea to start submitting this project to some festivals, however there were a few things about it we wanted to clean up in order to be “festival ready”. When you watch this Director’s Cut, you’ll notice several changes from different clips used, alternative color grades, more special effects, etc!
Secondly, this song (and video if I may add) are just completely kickass and brought us so much joy to continue working on. That said, I want to give a major shoutout to Colby White for putting so much time, care, and hard work in to helping get this Director’s Cut finished! I could not have done it without you!

We hope you enjoy this Music Video we worked so hard to put out and we look forward to all the greatness to come in 2023!! Lots of exciting stuff on the way 🙌 and again, have a Happy New Year!!
