Just finished my first piece of 2024, Fragile Titan, 60x30 mixed media on Ampersand cradled panel. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The larger size format allowed me to really play with texture and color, and I love how the layers and marks came together to create a sense of flow and energy. I hope this piece resonates with viewers and sparks different emotions and thoughts.

Honoring Joan (Mitchell That Is), 24x72 Triptych, Oil and Mixed Media on Ampersand cradled panels. I seldom have a title in mind when I begin. The title for this piece came to me when I was studying Joan Mitchell's art and realized that seldom do her triptychs flow all the way across. That gave me freedom for this piece.

She has been delivered to the Texas National 2023 Exhibition at Stephen F. Austin University's Cole Gallery in Nacogdoches, Tx. The exhibition's opening reception is Friday, April 14. Please join us!
