VineCrafters vineyards and winery, invite you to step into history this April and celebrate America's greatness.

In honor of America’s 250th birthday, VineCrafters is launching a Patriotic Dinner Series—two immersive evenings where history, wine, and exceptional cuisine come together in an unforgettable setting.

Historical actor Darren York and storyteller John Van Compernolle will guide you through two pivotal moments in history that changed the world.

Chef Karl Wilhelm, a classically trained European chef, will offer two distinct culinary experiences, each expressing his refined yet approachable style through elegant, thoughtfully executed courses.

Two Signature Events Await

An Evening with Benjamin Franklin
Saturday, April 18 | 6:00–9:00 PM

Step into the spirit of early America as storytelling and cuisine bring one of our nation’s most beloved founders to life. Enjoy a thoughtfully curated dinner inspired by the Revolutionary era—complete with wine, laughter, and a touch of history. Your host, Benjamin Franklin, will be portrayed by historical interpretive actor Darren York, whose performances captivate audiences with engaging narratives, historical anecdotes, and the wit and wisdom that defined Franklin.

Stars Over the Vineyard: An American Supper
Saturday, April 25 | 6:30–9:30 PM

Dine beneath the Texas sky in an elegant outdoor setting inspired by a pivotal moment in American history—the declaration of war against Spain on April 25, 1898, that catapulted the United States onto the world stage. This evening celebrates not only history, but the cultural connections that followed—where Spanish music, dance, and tradition help tell a broader American story. This evening features a presentation from local historian and storyteller John Van Compernolle, live music by classical Spanish guitarist Roberto Granados, along with a Spanish dance performance by his wife, Mercedes, paired with a seasonal, chef-driven menu and fine Texas wines.

Each evening is designed to transport you - to a slower time, inviting you to gather around the table and experience the beauty of shared moments.

Tickets are $60 and seating is limited.

The wise men that came after Jesus was born is an incredible statement to God's foreknowledge. We don't know much about them, but what we do know is very interesting:

-The Magi were not kings — they were elite scholars from Babylon/Persia, trained in astronomy and prophecy.

-Their knowledge traces back to Daniel — Book of Daniel was written in Babylon, where Daniel led the wise men.

-The ONLY reason they even knew to come was because of Daniel

-Daniel gave them a timeline in Daniel 9 which outlined when the Messiah would appear, not just that He would. Literally down to the year.

-They weren’t guessing — the Magi were watching the skies at the right time because of this prophecy.

-God used their study of the stars to reveal Christ through the heavens, something they understood.

-The star was divine guidance — not pagan astrology, but God directing seekers to Jesus.

-They recognized a King — “Born King of the Jews” was a bold theological and political claim.

-Their gifts were prophetic — gold (king), frankincense (God), myrrh (death).

-Gentiles worshiped Jesus first — outsiders bowed before Christ while many insiders ignored Him.

-This shows God’s foreknowledge through prophecy planted 600 years earlier that led Gentiles to Christ.

Nothing was accidental, the birth of Jesus happened exactly on schedule and God set this one small part of this plan 600 years beforehand. They are barely even in the text, just 12 verses talk about them, but God set this in motion long before that.
