This Friday, October 27th, Lollipop Opera presents "Fairy Tale Kitchen", a fun and interactive opera for children, at First Church Congregational at 12 South Main Street in West Hartford, CT. The event is free to attend although free will donations are gratefully accepted. Pizza will be served at 5:30 pm, followed by the performance. The entire audience will participate in movement and sound effects, and 10 volunteers will be selected to come up and act with the singers in several scenes.

In the opera you will meet Esmeralda, a "reformed" witch who hosts her own cooking show. During her show, many of her fairy tale friends drop by asking for Esmeralda's help, with hilarious results. See our attached video for clips from the opera. Spooky fun for everyone!

Hello friends,
In case you're wondering why I'm reposting old videos, it's partly due to our website, and partly to YouTube. The software for our old website was discontinued, and the software they gave me to use was so terrible that I began looking at other web hosting options. I started creating a new website with a different service, which I didn't publish, but somehow a blank blog page ATE my old website - it was completely gone! So I went back to my old web hosting service to try to recreate it, and in linking my videos to the new pages, I found out that YouTube had put ads on my videos, even though my channel is not monetized. I had no knowledge of this or any say in what the ads are, nor do I receive any compensation for these ads. The only other free hosting I could find was here on Facebook, so I'm deleting all the videos here that were links to YouTube and replacing them with uploads to Facebook.

When we are allowed to perform in schools again, I hope to make new videos with our current cast in a higher resolution. :)

Lollipop Opera presents "Mad-Lib-retto!" - a short, fun ,and interactive opera where YOU supply the Mad-Libs for the story! Two chances to see: Sunday, June 27 at United Methodist Church in Hartford, and Saturday, July 10 at Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury. Both performances at 11:30 am, and both are FREE!
